Terms for Venue Hire

Privacy policy

Welcome to Luv Yourself Space. We're honoured to share our sanctuary with you. To protect the energy of the space and ensure a smooth experience for everyone, please read the following carefully before your booking.

Space Use & Respect

You agree to the following conditions when hiring the space:

  • Use the space only during your booked times. Extra time will be charged at our standard rate and may impact future bookings.

  • No shoes in either of the practice spaces. Please leave all shoes downstairs on the green mat. (Penalty applies for violating this rule.)

  • Use the space only for the purpose stated on your booking form and agreed in writing.

  • Do not move fire extinguishers, plants, furniture, or wall art.

  • Do not cover fire alarms or obstruct emergency exits.

  • Do not nail, pin, or attach anything to the walls.

  • No alcohol or drugs are permitted on the premises. Violations will result in a penalty and permanent booking ban.

  • Electric candles, incense, and smudge tools may be used with care — always supervise and extinguish before leaving. Never leave burning items unattended.

  • All lights and electrical appliances must be turned off before you leave.

  • Return all equipment (mats, blocks, bolsters, crockery, etc.) to its original place.

    • If using crockery:

      • Upstairs room: place items directly in the upstairs dishwasher.

      • Downstairs room: carry crockery upstairs and place it in the dishwasher.

  • Any additional time needed for cleaning will be invoiced at the cleaner’s hourly rate.

Cleaning & Equipment Use

  • Our mats are anti-microbial and anti-bacterial. Please clean using only cold water and a clean cloth. Please Let them dry fully before rolling (with cork side facing out).

  • Respect all equipment and furnishings.

  • Use only what’s intended — misuse can result in injury or damage.

Waste & Sustainability

  • Please use the recycling and general waste bins provided.

  • Leave the space as you found it — clean, calm, and cared for.

Payment & Cancellation

  • Full payment is required to confirm your booking.
    You may cancel with a full refund up to 1 month before the event.

  • After that point, the booking becomes non-refundable and non-changeable.

Damage & Liability Policy

We lovingly maintain the studio and trust you to do the same.

You are liable for the full cost of repair or replacement in the case of:

  • Any missing items (equipment, furniture, plants, props)

  • Damage caused by misuse or negligence

  • Stains or spills requiring professional cleaning (especially from food or drink)

We will provide an assessment and invoice for any such costs.

Please report any issues or existing damage immediately upon arrival.

Emergency Protocol: Fire

In the event of a fire:

  • Immediately evacuate all guests, including from the toilets.

  • Cross the street and call 999, clearly stating:
    “FIRE at 4 Hoy Street”

  • Only if it’s safe to do so, use the fire extinguishers provided — your safety comes first.

Safety & Personal Belongings

  • Keep doors locked during your event — you are responsible for your guests and belongings.

  • Luv Yourself Space is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Right to Cancel or Amend

We reserve the right to cancel or amend bookings in exceptional cases — such as emergencies, maintenance issues, or unforeseen events.

  • If we need to cancel, we will give as much notice as possible.

  • We will offer you a reschedule or a full refund if no suitable alternative is found.
